Leading the design and development of AI-native agentic workflows, the full-time Principal Engineer, AI Systems will enhance engineering productivity and operational excellence in a remote environment by architecting intelligent agents and integrating automation across Teradata's AI Platform. Key responsibilities Architect and build AI agents for observability, automated root cause analysis, and engineering productivity optimization Design agentic workflows that integrate across telemetry pipelines, application stacks, and cloud infrastructure Drive AI-native development practices and partner with engineering teams to embed intelligent automation into CI/CD and DevOps workflows Required qualifications 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on AI/ML systems in production environments Proven experience building AI agents or autonomous workflows, not just consuming AI APIs Strong programming expertise in Python and familiarity with either Java or Go Experience with distributed systems, telemetry data, and observability architectures Foundational AI skills, including prompt engineering and model evaluation
