Whether you're an experienced professional or just starting out, you'll have the opportunity to contribute, grow, and make a lasting impact on industries that power the world's most dynamic markets.IEM is currently seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler for our San Antonio, TX and will report into the Supply Chain Manager.The Production Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules that align with customer requirements, material availability, and manufacturing capacity. This role ensures efficient workflow across fabrication, assembly, and shipping operations, using ERP tools to optimize production efficiency and on-time delivery.This position will be based temporarily in NE San Antonio while our new manufacturing plant is coming online. Our permanent location is approximately 25 minutes away at Brooks, 7515 Inner Circle Dr., San Antonio, 78235. The position is also 100% in-office and does not offer remote work.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on order priorities, material readiness, and work center capacityCoordinate with Production, Fabrication, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of schedules with available resourcesReview customer orders, validate ship dates, and ensure alignment with published lead timesManage schedule adjustments for expedited orders, delays, or material shortages, ensuring proactive communication with stakeholdersUtilize ERP, with INFOR preferred, to plan, monitor, and adjust manufacturing activitiesAnalyze resource and material availability to identify bottlenecks and constraintsPartner with Supply Chain and Materials Planning to ensure timely material flow to production linesParticipate in cross-functional planning meetings to synchronize schedules with purchasing, fabrication, and assemblyIdentify and implement process improvements that enhance scheduling accuracy, reduce lead times, and improve throughputContribute to lean manufacturing initiatives such as Kanban, visual management, and standardized workSupport the adoption of best practices for ERP utilization and production reportingServe as the communication link between production, planning, materials, and customer service teamsEscalate capacity or delivery risks promptly to the Production Planning ManagerSupport coordination of schedule changes due to design modifications or supply delaysFlexible and adaptable team player who operates with agility and resourcefulness and thrives in an often-changing environment. You will be operating with a start-up mindset and must be willing to help wherever needed - "not my job" is an unacceptable response.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field required3 to 7 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations coordination in a manufacturing environmentProficiency with ERP/MRP systems, with INFOR experience preferredStrong Excel and data analysis skillsKnowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and capacity planningExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesCollaborative mindset with cross-functional teamsDemonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organizationCompensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.Why Join IEMAt IEM, you'll join a team that powers some of the world's most ambitious projects.
